Official information on XO:

Twin brothers Jake and Jeff Turner of Say Anything prepare to release the debut EP from their latest project *XO* http://www.myspace.com/xotheband. The EP, titled Some Day, will be released by the newly developed label Jackie Darling created by former Fiddler Records owner Amy Fleisher. After months of endless touring as the members of *Say Anything*, Jeff Turner sat at his home in Atlanta, GA by his lonesome self, picked-up a guitar and started singing. While experimenting with writing a few tunes, Jeffʼs twin brother Jake joined-in by layering additional vocals and guitars. The formerly self-released /*SOME DAY EP*/ is the debut release from *XO*, taking you on a six song journey from one audio extreme to the other, delivering a dynamic sound ranging somewhere between minimal electronic blips within a pop song as heard in the track "My Beautiful Girl", to wall of noise ear-bleeds as heard in the track "Love". Their single "Blizzard", has already seen success as an iTunes single, generating over 100 downloads a week.

Tracklist:

1 High School (Atlanta)
2 Blizzard (New York)
3 Love
4 My Beautiful Girl (Tokyo)
5 Wait For You (Los Angeles)
6 Some Day (Atlanta)

Hey! I have been a huge fan of Say Anything for about five years now, been to many of your shows, and am so happy to get yet another amazing sound from you guys. I don't think anyone could truely get sick of Bemis' vocals, but taking the band and showing us a different and new side with a different lead singer, it's amazing. I think the lyrics get me too, what can I say, your music is easy to truely appreciate. It's a different sound, absolutely, but it still has the catchy vibe that I just cannot get enough of.

I can't wait to hear more from you guys, always a fan. - Hilary Sedillos, Denver Colorado

i remember when i got a friend request from them on myspace a while ago. i seriously wasnt gonna give them a chance since i get TONS of requests from crappy bands everyday and i dont listen to all of them.. but i liked the band name so i actually went to their page to listen for a few seconds. the first song i heard was "blizzard" and i fell in love with this band, it's just one of those songs you like instantaneously, and theres not many songs out there that are like that. but yea, i could go on and on about them but i'll stop now... :D

well well well where to begin. I have been listening to XO for i think going on 5 months so i'm fairly new to them and I have to say that at first I didn't really like it for it wasn't my kind of music but then I listened to their lyrics and it just struck a chord with me. They posted more songs over the months each song seemed to top the first song i listened to (Blizzard). What made this band work for me were the lyrics. I think that if Say Anything would disband or go on hiatus these fellas would do great

the sole reason i want xo's ep is because of my inexplicable twin fetish.

yeah... no. Razz

more seriously, i have been listening to XO for say 4 hours, but in these 4 hours, i've had their myspace songs on infinite repeat. i'm originally a Say Anything fan. i love their unique style and though XO is a departure from Say Anything, i reckon they are distinctive and fabulous in their own right. their harmonising is soo amazing, and their songs are calming, and sweet. i can't get enough. Smile

i checked XO out after meeting them (and Alex) yesterday after the Say Anything set at Soundwave. not only are they awesome live musicians but they're heaps down to earth too!

can't wait to hear more of them on their ep!

xx dianne

I came across XO while searching Myspace Music for new artists. I remember seeing the band name "XO" and thinking "ohh no, not some stupid pop diva with no talent singing." Although I clicked on the band "XO" to just see what it intailed. I was amazed, such a great band I had come across.

As I read some of the information on the page I realized they were from the band Say Anything, which I knew of. The first song I listened to was Blizzard which was so amazing! So I then youtubed XO to see if I could hear any other songs. I ended coming across High School (which is another favourite).

I would listen to hours on end of this band the first time listening to their music, as I still do. XO is one of my top friends on Myspace as well it has a place within my heart. Although I became sad when I tired to download some of their music although it did not work. I am planning on picking up there cd sometime soon, since these boys are extremely talented!

All I can say is keep up the solo project, it will eventually take off since you both are very talented. Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts about the band XO! Smile Have a good day!
