Screamo ist ein schreckliches Genre. Immer mehr Bands dieser Gattung treten auf den Markt und das Schlimmste ist, dass sie alle gleich klingen. Nur einige Bands heben sich ab. Zu nennen seien Dead Poetic (RIP) oder Thursday (vgl. Paris In Flames, 1998).

Eine der (für mich) einflußreichsten Bands aus diesem Genre sind THE BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE - eine Band, die leider nicht mehr existiert. Die Band veröffentlichte 2 Alben auf THE MILITIA GROUP und eine EP auf REIGNITION RECORDS.
