SECONDHAND SERENADE ENTERS THE STUDIO WITH MULTI-PLATINUM PRODUCER AARON JOHNSON

Los Angeles, CA (June 11, 2009) – Secondhand Serenade, one of the biggest breakout artist of 2008, has entered the studio today with multi-platinum producer Aaron Johnson (The Fray, Jonas Sees In Color) to begin recording the follow up to last year’s A Twist In My Story (Glassnote).

“Having seen what Aaron was capable of doing with The Fray, one of my favorite bands, I was honored to find out that he wanted to work with me and I jumped at the opportunity," comments Secondhand Serenade mastermind John Vesely.
After touring the world for nearly two years in support of his sophomore album, Secondhand Serenade is certified platinum for the single “Fall For You” in the US (which has sold over 1.7 million downloads to date) and certified gold in Australia. “Fall For You” is still #3 on Clear Channel Online’s Hit Chart. With a Top 10 single, numerous headlining tours and shows across the US, Europe, Philippines and Australia, and performances on Late Night With Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and the CBS Early Show under his belt, Vesely is thrilled about hitting the studio.

“It has been a while since I've had time to settle down with some ideas and bring them into the studio to work them out,” says Vesely. “It's a very exciting time for me."
Secondhand Serenade, who was the #1 unsigned artist on MySpace for several months before signing with Glassnote Records, has always been close and honest with his fans from the beginning, and openly addresses them by stating "I can't say that this album is going to be a far stretch from my past material, but I can say that it will definitely show my growth as an artist and will give you guys an accurate look into all that's been happening in my head for the last 2 years. Having now seen the world on tour, I'm writing with such a different set of experiences and feel like this is going to be my most sophisticated, yet honest work to date."
The new album is expected to be released later this year via Glassnote Records.
