There For Tomorrow - A Little Faster

Hopeless Records . 06/06/2009 . written by Oliver . genre: Pop Punk/ Emo

There For TomorrowThere For Tomorrow formed 2003 in Orlando, Florida. They signed with Hopeless records in 2008 and worked with James Paul Wisner (238, Underoath, FSF) then to release a stunning EP in the same year. Only three months later they won the MTVU Woodie Award for the best breaktrough artist of the year. Now they released their debut for Hopeless records. The record is called "A Little Faster" and it contains eleven wonderful Pop Rock tracks. Once again the band decided to work with James Paul Wisner, who also worked with Paramore, As Friends Rust or New Found Glory. I always have the impression, that every record that James had its hands on is becoming a smash-hit record. Therefore I expect a lot more to come for TFT in the future. "A Little Faster" is a wonderful record with very melodic Rock songs on. Maika Maile (Lead Vocals, Guitar, Programming) has such a perfect and great voice, that it makes real fun to listen to him. I cannot really find out a "very best" song, because they all are really nice and cosey. Lovers definately have to check out "Just In Time" (track # 6) which is such a wonderful and romantic ballard. I really love the smooth and romantic atmosphere on this track. "Sore Winner" is probably the fastest track on the record to find. The refrain is so great and it definately makes the listener to sing-a-long with. "Burn The Night Away" is a very precautious and silent love track, that got only played with an accoustic guitar. "The World Calling" ends up the record. This track is probably the most powerful one to find on the record. The driving drums and the spinning-guitar-play really makes this song pretty attractive to listen to. James Paul Wisner has really recorded a very good record. The melodies are breathtaking and simple to keep in mind. But I definately have to critizise, that their foregoert EP was even better and the songs & refrains even got much more faster into the head. In the end I definately have to point out the amazing artwork that was created by Kenny Arehart who has already worked on some Hopeless Records projects. I encourage you to check out his website.
