Logh - North

Bad Taste Records . release date: 04-09-07 . written by Oliver

LoghLogh is in my opinion the best scandinavian band from the ambient Rock genre. Their music is challeging the whole genre, I think. And "North" is their latest masterpiece. Once again the guys have released their creation on Bad Taste records - the label they started working with back in 1998. Logh always remained true to their music and so they always played pretty dark, sensitive and emotional tunes. There are not many bands, that I can compare with Logh. Probably the band shows some small similarities with Fireside from Sweden. Logh is well known for silent and thoughtful music, fronted by a singer with a soft and fragile voice. "North" contains ten amazing Rock tunes, pretty much in the vein of their foregoer releases, but even more based on true feelings, even more sensitive and in general even better somehow. I have the impression, that the musicians in Logh have become better musicians and that they have gained more creativeness and sensitiveness over the years. Logh is a real phenomen in my opinion: Their music is very silent and pleasant, nevertheless it contains a lot of energy as well. "North" totally affects me, the more I listen to the new release.
