Jimmy Eat World - Chase This Light

Jimmy Eat World are still pioneering the Emo/ Pop scene, since their 1999 smash “Clarity” has come out. The band, consisting of lead singer Jim Adkins, guitarist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch and drummer Zach Lind, still writes emotional songs, which are so beautiful and so profound at least. The new record “Chase This Light” came out on October 16th, 2007 on Interscope records. Butch Vig, who also worked with Nirvana, AFI or Against Me really did a great job on this record. “Chase This Light” has turned out to be a great masterpiece with beautiful and stunning melodies on. The opener song is called “Big Casino” is a stunning pop track, pretty much in the vein of the typical JEW style, that we are all familiar with. “Here It Goes” (track #8) is another outstanding smash track with a super great refrain.
