Interviewer: Laura . 18/07/2010 . Deichbrand Festival Cuxhaven .

Punk76: You're from Sweden, is there a big rock Festival that you could point out?
TS: The Peace & Love Festival
Punk76: Is it a rock-festival?
TS: There are all kinds of music, for example Jay-Z and Patti Smith.
Punk76: How many people are coming?
TS: About 40.000, it's not the biggest. There was another, festival but that was shut down this year.
Punk76: Who in your opinion is the ultimate festival band?
TS: We really like Billy Talent. They're good.
Punk76: is there a certain song of yours that people want to heart at festivals?
TS: I think „Tony The Beat“ is always a good song, wherever we go. I don't know if there's a song that works better abroad. I think „Queen Of Apology“ works really well, those songs are good for festivals. And the audience seems to love it.
Punk76: What are in your opinion the pro's and con's of playing at a festival?
TS: A negative part is that you don't get a soundcheck lots of times. And then sometimes you know you sound really bad but you have no chance to fix it. The good part is that you get to hang out with other bands, I remember Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park and the Hives were there and we partied afterwards. You don't really get that chance when you're out on tour, so I think that's the best part that you meet lots of other bands.
Punk76: If you're time at Deichbrand Festival would be filmed and made into a movie and you would have to choose the soundtrack for it: one song for travelling to the festival, one for the actual time spent at the festival and one for the travel back, which songs would you choose?
TS: For arriving: Copacabana by Barry Manilow, for the time spent here „keep On Rocking In The Free World“ by Neil Young and for leaving hmm. John Denver with „Maybe“.
Punk76: of course as a band you have catering at festivals but if you'd be a visitor, what would you most likely eat?
TS: Döner.
Punk76: Really?
TS: Yeah, sure. What else is there?
Punk76: Lots of things, burgers, hot dogs, ice cram?
TS: It's been a while since we actually went to festivals as a visitor so.. let's go with the Döner.
Punk76: Is there a festival that you've never been to but would love to go?
TS: Yeah, the burning man festivals outside of LA. It's kind of a hippie festival with weird arts going on out in the desert. There are artists that paint and do sculptures and so on.
Punk76: Alright, thank you so much for taking the time!
TS: Thanks, it was fun.
