Hot Water Music - Till the wheels fall off

The post-hardcore quartet Hot Water Music from Gainsville, Florida was formed in 1994. The band influenced the scene pretty much, together with artists alike The Get Up Kids and As Friends Rust. The band started out in 1996 on No Idea Records, when they released their debut CD “Finding The Rythmens”. Over the years the band became bigger and finally got signed to Epitaph records. But then Chuck Ragan, co-founder and singer desired more time of life outside the band and so he left the band. Todd Rockhill formed together with the rest of the band The Draft – a project, that caused a lot of attention, while Chuck released some solo-material on Sideonedummy records. Now, in 2008 the band reunited and released their new CD “Till The Wheels Fall Off” on the label, where they started out in 1996: No Idea Records. The material on the “Till The Wheels Fall Off” is not new. Instead you find rare tracks, covers on Alkaline Trio, Turbonegro, Clash, Government Issue along others and some classic tunes, all put together on one CD. Sureley the record can not competite with the bands foregoer releases, but I can assure you, that “Till The Wheels Fall Off” is a great compilation with a lot of interesting songs on. You really should not hesitate, wheter you´re a die-hard fan or only a person, who likes the bands style and music. Me personally don´t like compilations that much, because most often they contain a bunch of averaged songs. But in this case the compilation has totally worked out fine.
