Flood Of Red - Leaving Everything Behind
Dark City Records . November 26, 2009 . written by Oliver . genre: Post HC
Flood Of Red is a young band from Glasgow, Scotland. The band has already released an album, which was good but it was based on typical Screamo-Core. Now they released a great new album, called “Leaving Everything Behind”. I am a huge Saosin fan and I need to admit that Flood Of Red got definitely infected by Future Of Forestry and Saosin. I really like the fact, that “Leaving Everything Behind” contains no screaming anymore, instead you find well performed melodies that really take you to the next sphere. I really love the silent and cosey vocals, I also like the calming piano parts, the hard edged guitar riffs and the slamming drums – which are not to overwhelming or to massive at least. Flood Of Red is destined for fans of Saosin, Scatter The Ashes and Secret And Whisper. I refered Scatter The Ashes here. People who know this band are in charge to know, that Scatter has spread a real strange but beautiful atmosphere. I feel the same here when I listen to Flood. I feel like going over to another sphere. The new release is so beautiful, so silent and pieceful and just amazing at least.
