Fireflight - Unbreakable

Flicker/ Sony . 03/04/2008 . written by Oliver . genre: Melodic Rock

FireflightFireflight from Eustis (Florida) is a pretty strong female fronted Punk band that got signed to Flicker/ Sony records in 2006. By having two number #1 singles from their debut album The Healing of Harms the band felt encouraged enough to record another full lenght CD in 2008. Today the band is back with another stunning Rock record, called "Unbreakable". The record contains ten brilliant Rock tracks, that show strong parallels with female Rock bands like Paramore, Element 101, Avril Lavigne or Tsunami Bomb. There are a couple of good female fronted Rock bands around, but Fireflight have recorded the very best material that I have ever listen to. The album got produced by Rob Hawkins, who already worked with Pop Punk bands like Dizmas or Philmont. Lead vocalist Dawn Richardson has such an amazing and crystal clear voice. Their masterpiece record "Unbreakable" is based on Biblical stories, which is ok to me. The melodies really worked out fine and the production quality is amazing. The band has also inserted a plenty of instruments, like synthesizers and violin. "Unbreakable" is really a great Rock record, that contains a couple of amazing smash hits.
