Fall Of Troy - The Unlikely Event

Equal Vision Records . Oct. 5, 2009 . written by Oliver

Fall Of TroyThe Fall Of Troy belongs to the most outstanding bands on Equal Vision Records. Their dramatic hectic-core/progressive Rock music totally impress me. Their music sounds like a collision between Coheed And Cambria and Converge. Thomas Erak plays guitar and sings. To me this man is a genius – he can sing, he can scream and he totally rapes his guitar! He plays riffs that I have never heard before and he can sing in such a calming and impressive way, but he can also scream like a mad witch too. TFOT is not destined for every Rock fan; because this is pretty special kind of music, which is sometimes even very exhausting and hard to stand. TFOT is art and not only music. I am so stocked how crazy the riffs and melodies are that the band is able to play. Frank Ene is also so talented on bass. His bombing basslines totally underline the freaked-out music style. Andrew Forsman plays drums. Me totally pay attention to drums. I am always impressed by good drummers and Andrew is. His tactfulness and his amazing skills just blow me away. Everytime I listen to TFOT’s latest album “In The Unlikely Event” I feel totally impressed and astonished. The record contains twelve exciting songs; some of them take about 5 till 6 minutes of time! Rody Walker from Protest The Hero and Ryann Donelly from Schoolyard Heroes helped out on backround vocals.
