Dead To Me have released the best Punk record in 10 years on Fat Wreck trough the release of their breathtaking masterpiece record “African Elephants”. The record contains 10 great punk rock anthems, that combines different elements from Hot Water Music, Western Addiction and Dillinger Four into one. I am not so a big fan of raw punk music; but I have to admit, that Dead To Me from San Francisco have released a stunning masterpiece record with great punk rock anthems and sunshiny ska/reggae tunes on, that impress me a lot. Dead To Me are Jack Dalrymple (voc/guitar), Tyson "Chicken" (voc/bass) and Ian Anderson (drums). I cannot pick any favourite tracks, because they are all so different and they all sound so well. I like the combination of reggie and punk too. There are two well reggie songs on "African Elephants" to find: X and California Sun. Both sound really good and the music remind me somehow to the well tunes of The Saint Alvary and Joe Stummer. "African Elephants" is a real masterpiece. You hear well played riffs, well done melodies and every song contains something special.
