Day At The Fair - The rocking chairs days
Drive Thru Records . 05/03/2005 . written by Oliver . genre: Pop/ Punk/ Rock/ Emo
Day At The Fair is another great artist to be to find on Rushmore/Drive Thru records. I often do wonder how those Drive Thru managers find out about all those great bands, which sound a lot like New Found Glory at least. Day At The Fair have recorded a flawless Pop Punk release, with crystal clear voices on, backround voices, slamming drums, work, bitter sweet melodies and driving songs. Most often the songs are kept in a midtempo manner, sometimes interrupted from a ballard. Whenever Drive Thru/Rushmore is putting out a new record, it sounds pretty smug and bright. With other words: Drive Thru is putting out flawless Rock releases with bittersweet melodies, just in the vein of NFG. On this release the lyrics are about girls, passion and love. Yes, it´s the kind of record, that affects teenagers and their problems. Fans of The Starting Line, The Ataris, New Found Glory and Autopilot Off really shouldn´t hesitate to buy this flawless Punk/ Pop-Rock release.
