Daphne Loves Derby combine elegancy and lovely music. This cosey band will make your heart melt away. I am so astonished by all those soft and beautiful songs that can be find on their latest record, which is called "On the strenght of all convinced". I remember, when Takeoverrecords started the "Sign my band" contest on Myspace. The voters almost helped the band to get a deal on Takeover, but another band made the race. Now Outlook music decided to release their record and I think this was a good step, because I am convinced DLD will become huge someday. Therefore it is totally ok to start out from a small label. Daphne combines wonderful melodies with warm and cosey vocals. It is hard to compare Daphne to any other bands, but I try: I can think of a mixture between Rufio, This Providence, The Get Up Kids and Limbeck. That should make it clear, what the band is about. DLD also inserts some additional instruments like piano into their music, which gives the music a romantic touch.
