Social Distortion - almost everyone, who is listening to punkrock knows about this band. Social Distortion is fronted by Mike Ness, who had huge sucsess with his solo project as well as with his band Social Distortion. Mike has an amazing raw voice and he is accomplished by professional musicians from his band. I don´t know, how long SD consists now, but they got tons of songs and they play a big live set on this DVD. The recording and filming quality is pretty good and the light effects round up the live set. This DVD is a total joy to listen to. Mike and the band perform those songs with absolute passion and in deep concentration. SD is pop punk for adults, but they got an enorm fan base, with people from many different ages. It is funny, whenever the crowd claps you hear a lot of girls screaming. Well it seems, that Mike is a womanizer- huh? However, the DVD contains 15 songs at all, attachted with some extra bonus features, like a "pre-show-warm-up" or a foto-gallery or interviews. Well, this DVD is pretty intersting for anyone, who is into sensible pop punk, with raw voices. Very great material.
