Damn, what a hammer-strong CD. Comeback Kid presents its very first full length release on Victory Records and I am totally in love with this CD from the first to the last second. CBK plays superfast old school hardcore music in the vain of Youth of Today and Ten Yard Fight. This is such a fresh and straight release in comparison to all the shitty screamo crap, that comes out monthly. This is back to the roots of straight-edge hardcore music- and it even tends my roots: I started listening to punk and hardcore in 94/ 95. And in my beginnings I was listening a lot to Turmoil, Uniform Choice, Youth of Today, Ignite, Ten Yard Fight and many other classics. This awesome release reminds me so much to the good ol´days. In depressing moments "Wake the Dead" is the right cure to heal my wounds. The CD was recorded at The Blasting Room with Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore. I don't really need to add here that the recording quality is just more than awesome, do I? The bass lines are totally massive, the vocals are aggressive and full of spirit and passion, the drums are stunning and totally fast, and the guitars
