Ex-Comeback Kid singer Scott got replaced by Andrew Neufeld, who played guitar on the last record. Now Andrew has taken over the singers function and well, the record has turned out damn good. I was surprised how much the new singer changed the whole appearance of the band, cuz Come Back Kid sounds much more mature now and even much more critical, in comparison to the old record. Well I mean, "Wake The Dead" was a flawless release indeed, but it was only fast and agressive. This time the band shows a different site: Fast tunes and midtempo tunes change very often here and the best thing about Andrew is, that his voice reminds me pretty much to these bands: Shai Hulud and As Friends Rust. I do like Broadcasting so damn much, and you won´t believe how often I have listened to that stunning old-school record, which tends between agressive midtempo- and fast tunes, while breathtaking sing-a-long choruses collide with positive agressiveness. The record got once again produced by Bill Stevenson (of Descendents, ALL, and Black Flag fame) and Jason Livemore. You may know, that these producers already worked with a lot of great bands, and so you can assume already, that Broadcasting has turned out brilliant. If you like Shai Hulud, Turmoil, Youth Of Today and As Friends Rust, then you shouldn´t hesitate to buy this stunning release.
