Brandston - Send Us A Signal
The Militia Group . release date: 06/15/2004 . written by Oliver
I
never was a Branston fan and when "Send Us Signals"
came out, I did not expected any good material to come. I was sceptic,
because I once owned a few Brandston releases, which where released
on Deep Elm records. Some releases contained a couple of good songs,
but Brandston never impressed me as a band. "Send Us A Signal" deleted
all my old fears and prejudices. They all have gone away with this
amazing release on The Militia Group. The new record contains twelve
emotional Emo-Pop songs. Some are kept in midtempo manner, others
have turned out much softer and slower. To me it is necessary to mention,
that Ed Rose, known for producing Umbrellas, Saves The Day, The
Get Up Kids and others, once again did a great job on the release.
"Send Us A Signal" is a must have for every Emo-Pop-Rocker out there.
Their song "Escapist" or other great tunes, like "Who Are You Know"
are definitely one of the most outstanding tracks on "Send Us A Signal".
