Bedouin Soundclash - Sounding a mosaic

George from Alexisonfire once told me, that Bendouin Soundclash definitely belongs to his favourite bands. I was really wondering about that statement, because Benduin is a Punk/Reggie band from Canada, that plays music in the vein of The Police and Maxeen. The outrageous bass lines plus those dynamic drums and the bloomy guitar work got surrounded with perfect melodies and vocals. After listening to the record I understood why George was so enthusiastic about this record: Benduin plays Punk-Reggie based tunes, with great passion and joy. Even if you are in a bad mood, this record will make you feel well again - and this is a guarantee. I am so amazed by those warm and gentle vocals, which contain so much spirit and self-confidence, while the band guides the singer with slow and chilled-out guitar- and drum work. Sometimes I even feel reminded to Bob Marley, especially when Jay Malinowski sings in a special manner with a very raw voice. In general this release is a super-chilled-out record, sometimes consisting of Dance-Hall-Reggie songs or jamming mid-tempo songs, in the vein of The Police. I won´t believe, that Benduin is a Canadian band, cause they sound like straight from Africa. This is the most important record for this summer and I´ll guarantee you, that the record is a masterpiece and a big challenge for so many other bands. I am totally amazed, that Sideonedummy is confident enough to release such a outrageous Punk-Reggie record, which differ so much from many other releases.
