It cannot believe it: I never liked Appleseed Cast before, cause I always thought, that they are pretty boring. Now they got a new record deal and they have a new record out. The result turned out amazing. Peregrine is the first record on their new label The Militia Group and I can assure you: This is such a damn impressive masterpiece. The record starts with a moony intro that takes about four minutes of time. Two terms suddenly come in my head: Strange vs. beautiful. The second song starts with electronic guitar and soft vocals, but it explodes in the next second as slamming drum work and screechy guitars join the set. The band recruited a new drummer: Mr. Nathan Richardson, who was playing in The Casket Lottery before. Peregrine is a pure phenomenon, cause it combines very raw Rock sound with super-sensitive guitars and well advised lyrics. The record also contains many different and interesting electronic elements. I am really impressed by those drastic gloomy, sad and spiritual moments. Appleseed really knows how to create spiritual and haunting atmospheres. I think the term Emotional Rock Music, really gained a new acceptation. I could list hundrets of impressive triffles that I found on the record, but the most stunning aspect on this record is the pretty dominant and strong drum work, which is spartanic and breaking out at once. The soft guitars, which even remind me to The Cure calm down the whole set, when the dominant drums start to set in. I could not find the right words to describe the record in adequate way, but I can assure you: This is the best record from the emotional Rock genre this year, cause it includes impressive technical skills and enoumerous ideas, that noone else but Appleasead is able to transfer into music. This record is shock therapy for Emo fans. Buy it now!
