American Eyes - Never trust anything that bleeds

There are not many words left, because I am more than stocked about this great masterpiece. This brandnew band is called American Eyes and they stand out for several specific features: First they totally sound like a new wave band. They definitely remind me to Kaiser Chiefs, The Bravery or The Killers! Second fact: The band recorded with Michael Patterson (Puff Daddy, Notorious B.I.G., Beck). Sounds strange somehow, that a Hip-Hop producer helped to record this EP. But the result is awesome, cause the record sounds really bright and beamy. It is more than fascinating to listen to this creative EP, which contains only hits! There are also many triffles, that I can figure out, like extraordinary guitar playing or different instruments, like organ or syntheziser. Third fact: The band recorded a ballard, which contains feature vocals from Curt Smith, who sang in Tears For Fears years ago. The band stated: "Recording with Curt was surreal". Fourth fact: The band plays paradoxical music, cause they combine pretty sad lyrics with super happy music! "Never trust anything that bleeds"Doesn´t the title of the EP sounds strange to you? I was curious about the title and thus I checked out the bands homepage. I found a describtion about the EP, which explained many different curiositys, like the song "knifefight with a girl", which is a true story at least!Head over to the bands homepage and find out more about them. I promise you, those guys will become huge in the future- they just even started their career!
