A Thorn For Every Heart - Things aren´t so beautiful now
Interscope Records . release date: 10/19/2004 . written by Oliver
Well,
I know that I tell everyone how sick I am of Screamo music. Yes, I
am over it - I guess, but nevertheless there are still some bands,
that have the skills and the talent to catch my attention. I am totally
stocked from Dead Poetic´s release “New Medicines”. Why do I mention
that? I explain now: A Thorn For Every Heart totally
reminds me to the classic Dead Poetic release “New Medicines”. I am really
impressed, by the similarities between both bands. “A thorn for every
heart” contains very quiet and relaxed passages, which can errupt right in the
next second. The singers voice is young and very clear. It is a pleasure
to listen to those well performed and highly melodic songs, which are
at least a hard challenge for so many bands from that genre. The record
contains 10 songs at all, consisting of great emotional songs, which
transfer many differnent moods to the listener. I mean: Some songs
are really quit and shy, while other tend to explode in the next second.
The band also combined electronic tunes, violins and piano with their
music. This fact makes it furthermore very attractive to listen to
this unknown masterpiece
