A Dream Too Late is a Rock band from Albany, Oregon. The band consists of four stylish guys, that play emotional Rock, pretty much in the vein of Jimmy Eat World, Falling Up, Holland, Sugarcult and Mest. The young band released it´s debut record "Intermission To The Moon" on Toothandnail records on November 6th 2007. The debut record contains eleven dreamily Rock tracks with a huge hit potential. It is unbelieveable how Toothandnail constantly finds out about such amazing artists, like the refered one: A Dream Too Late. The band members played in several bands before Toothandnail´s line-up producer Steve Wilson started with them to work on the new album. The record contains so many amazing songs with killer melodies and breathtaking refrains. My favourite track is called "The Life", which starts with a bittersweet melody that comes along with beautiful guitar playing and synthesizer. This song is spreading a real comfortable feeling. The nice and cosy vocals fit so well to the soft drums and the strong basslines. I also like "Do You Believe In Ghosts" very much, because of the honest lyrics and the great refrain. Their song "Trendsetter" is a more ironic but slamming one, with a huge hit potential. The quote: "Trendsetter, show me, what I wanna be", makes it clear, that it is not necessary to have constantly people arround you, that advise you what to wear next or how to act. Reid Anderson has such a beautiful and calming voice. I can confirm, that "A Dream Too Late" has put out an album, that really invites you to dream along to. The perfect guitar work often reminds me to Jimmy Eat World´s newest record, "Chase This Light". All songs got kept in a mid-tempo manner. To me ADTL have definintely released a great masterpiece in sensitive music.
